So, get this- The Today Show’s “Where in the World is Matt Lauer” segment featured the Seychelles Islands, and he said how it is a great vacation spot. The NEXT thing you know, everyone on the Net is searching for information about it, especially Praslin, the island Matt Lauer was at.
Observation #1: Why should we care about what Matt Lauer (formerly of PM Magazine in the 1980′s) says? “Television personalities”, “anchormen” and “hosts” have no real authority.
Observation #2: The Seychelles Islands was settled in 1609. it’s been around for a while. Matt didn’t discover it! It’s a great vacation spot, especially if you don’t mind having any security (it’s vulnerable to terrorist attacks on U.S. tourists). You can also hunt sharks and tortoises there if you’d like.
Observation #3: Do you need to go all the way to an obscure section of the Indian Ocean, when you can go to Hawaii or the Bahamas and do the same thing?
Observation #4: Next thing you know your partner is going to want to go there $$$$$$$$$$.
Observation #5: This is how “common knowledge” gets started.
