“…And Evil Shall Inherit the Earth”
Is that the wife of the Atom (Identity Crisis) encouraging the evil Dark Angel/Mary Marvel?
Is that a statue of Darkseid?
Why is the 1980′s Luthor upset? Is he a good Luthor? Has he been betrayed? For some reason, he looks more like Charlton Heston than the Superman Crisis pose when he’s holding Supergirl. Must be the statue.
What earth is that Martian Manhunter from?
The black-suited Superman looks like he has the same wardrobe as Zod from Superman I and II. I like it. Can the Phantom Zone movie villains be far behind? Will they get a one-panel tribute?
That sky looks ominous. Shadow beings?
Will Barry Allen make an appearance?
Fantastic elements. I love it.
DAMIAN HOSPITAL: Yes, that looks like an evil Starman, but I think it’s The Trickster.
The purple guy looks like Desaad.
Yes, it sure looks like the Atom’s wife still possessed by Eclipso. Mary Marvel got temoted by her. (Dark Angel is not pictured here, she is Donna Troy from another earth.)
Yes, that is a statue of Darkseid, who looks like rules the future? As a good guy or bad guy?
I get the impression that 80′s Luthor is good, and the Supermen are evil. I believe the black caped Superman is the good Lex’s arch-enemy. They exist on one of the new 52 earths in the multiverse. There are theories that this poster is a reflection of The Last Supper painting.
Luthor would be the Savior since he’s in the middle of this painting.
That’s a REAL bad sky. The swirl in the middle reminds me of Shadow Demons in Crisis #12 and the creation scene with the Unseen Hand.
And…that sure looks like Kingdom Come Superman. :-(
Anyway, I agree with you, I think this is one of the best promotional posters ever.
As you know, I stopped buying comics at the beginning of 52, so it’s real tough to keep track. I do know that after Infinite Crisis, 52, One Year Later, World War 3, and Countdown, there is a defined multiverse that is different than the old one. But I will pick up Final Crisis in May.
