Endgame: “The ending scenario of a particular game; when and how it will end, most prominently used in chess.”
The nations of the earth have been waging total wars, global wars, territorial conflicts, economic sanctions, trade wars, and ethnic cleansing for hundreds of years, and it continues to to this day. In modern history, it could be argued that this earth has seen five World Wars which involved dozens of countries and crimes against humanity: The Seven Years’ War, The Napoleonic Wars, The Great War, World War II, and The Cold War (fought using proxies). All five World Wars are like chapters in an epic book; all World Wars are related to each other and pick up where they ended. How does the book end? No one knows. The state of the world after the Cold War has been focused on China and The Middle East, and thanks to technological advances, a true global economy and information superhighway.
Has humanity evolved so much that it will avoid World War 6? Perhaps if you live in the West as you sit in your underwear at home reading this article, you can buy into the illusion that barbarism and government approved slavery and racial, ethnic, and religious cleansing doesn’t exist anymore. But once you start opening your eyes you can see that they do exist in this world, and that all the signs are there: civilization will not be wiped out by climate change, a sun flare, or an asteroid; World War 6 or World War 7 will surely end it. Not all humans will be annihilated; but the concept of superpowers and order will no longer exist. Humanity may be bombed back to the Stone Age, or perhaps the Chinese will become the sole superpower and we all shall kneel before them. How ironic that I write this heading into 2012; optimists in the 1990s believed once the Soviet Union crumbled that humanity was in the clear.
I see the globe like a chessboard, a Risk game board, or a Civilization video game, and history backs this perception up. Just because so many countries have reaped the benefits of capitalism and the major world powers are all friendly with each other doesn’t mean things won’t spiral out of control.
It has been said that the United States plays checkers with foreign policy and that Russia plays chess. Vladamir Putin can’t believe Americans can be that stupid or schizoid with foreign policy (we can) and always has several moves planned ahead. More importantly, Putin and other Russian men of power have an endgame in mind. Their country has a long term goal. They are preparing. They have a To Do List. Just like the other World Wars, World War 6 will give countries an opportunity to check off some of these goals, as everyone will be distracted or not in a position to stop them. They have a vision for themselves after World War 6 as well (if they survive). But Russia is not alone.
So now the Daily Skew will bring you the list of:
Endgames by Country
What is the United States of America’s Endgame? The U.S. has no true endgame. They play checkers one move at a time. A very recent example is deploying more troops to Australia just to get China’s attention. It’s just one pathetic move that accomplishes nothing except taking a turn to move a checker. China laughs at such “moves” behind the scenes after releasing the “outraged” press release. As the world’s policeman, the U.S. meddles in foreign affairs under orders from multinational corporations or due to signed treaties. They spend an inordinate amount of money and resources to stabilize foreign oil and interfere in the Middle East. Without a true space program, the illusion of leaving the planet to colonize or commercialize space is not even an option. Again, they have no endgame. The many personalities and departments that control U.S. “interests” are selfish and directly benefit from spreading capitalism (which they mistakenly believe is democracy, which they mistakenly believe is the type of government the U.S. is- it’s really a republic- and oligarchy). The U.S.’s obsession with getting involved in the Holy War between the Sunni and Shi’ite for oil will be its undoing.
What is China’s Endgame? It’s very obvious China wants to become the only world superpower, thus controlling the world’s currency and calling the shots. Calling the shots means becoming the arbiter of international disputes and the world’s cop, just as the U.S. is now, and the British Empire used to be. Of course, since Red China is a leftist totalitarian regime which has “perfected” capitalism, they don’t believe in regulations, civil rights, or justice when it comes to trade or its own people. China’s endgame involves the continuation of spreading communism, and actually using its vast military to “take back” land in which they claim they have a spiritual and historic entitlement to. It was the same excuse given when they took over Tibet and killed or expelled Buddhists. China considers Taiwan a rebel nation and will invade it. China also considers North Korea to be theirs. China has never avenged the Japanese Rape of Nanking, and have a ethnic hatred of Japanese. Don’t be surprised if the endgame is a full global economic and military domination that would be greater than Genghis Khan’s Mongolian Empire, as China takes over the Pacific and all of Asia, and perhaps parts of the Middle East (with help from its African neo-colonies). Even Australia may be a target so it can harvest natural resources and labor.
What is Russia’s Endgame? Russia has always capitalized on the status quo of strife in the world. While everyone else is debating, treating, and fighting Russia moves its pawns, knight, and bishops into position on the grand chessboard. Russia’s endgame includes owning valuable resources of oil in Arctic, and other places where no one can challenge them. It’s true they lost the Cold War, but you do understand that Putin used to be head of the KGB, right? Ghosts of the past run Russia, no matter how much they lost. Russia’s endgame involves around the fact that its fertility rate has reached the point of no return. Russia therefore must “encourage” migration of millions of ethnic Russians who are no longer part of their “empire”. Of course, during World War 6 or beyond, that means taking back countries that were once part of the empire for their women. It should be noted that Russians hate the spread of Islamic Arabs into their borders because it further kills their population rate. So you may be wondering why Russia loves to help Iran or causes mischief in the Middle East. The answer is quite simple: Russia will always have the upper hand in such technological or trade agreements, and it keeps the U.S. with its hands tied behind its back. However, Russia’s flaw is that it thinks the U.S. is playing a chess game, too, and this double bluff error could come back to haunt them during World War 6.
What is North Korea’s Endgame? Quite honestly, no matter what Kim Jong iI says, North Korea’s endgame is to maintain the status quo of being a totally closed authoritarian regime, where the only people who get to eat are soldiers and elite party members. This keeps the chance of any revolution down. It is a complete closed state. It’s possible he has fantasies of a nuclear attack on Japan, the United States, or even South Korea, but they are too warped to be a true endgame. As the decades of armistice have showed, even with all of his tanks, missiles, and guns, he will not cross the border into South Korea. Reason: South Korea is truly free and it would be impossible to control their minds as he does as Big Brother in closed North Korea. With no economy, famine, and with a ghost town of a capital city, North Korea is the biggest paper tiger on the chess board. Kim Jong iI thrives on the status quo and plays checkers with South Korean and Japanese ships.
What is Israel’s Endgame? Israel wants to be the only technological, military, and cultural superpower in the Middle East and to continue to be partners with the United States. Based on population trends, education, and health stats, Israel is head and shoulders above its neighbors who are suffering from severe internal rebellion, poverty, famine, and twisted leaders. World War 6 goals would be a- ahem- Final Solution to the Palestinian problem, and the need to- ahem-expand territory for its growing population. Israel has the chutzpah to conduct a first strike if need be, and ironically can single-handily trigger World War 6.
What is Iran’s Endgame? Still a paper tiger (malware infected their entire computer infrastructure) with a horrible economy and religious and secular leaders not being on the same page (not to mention the threat of rebellion), Iran is more hype than a true threat. Internal debate from Iranian religious leaders, conservatives, and liberals hamper any true progress at the international stage. Understand that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not the Supreme Leader, and he can be erased at any time by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Believe it or not, but those in control of Iran are more concerned about controlling the people and dealing with religious minorities than attacking Israel or the United States. All of that tough guy talk is created as a distraction for its people. Like North Korea and Cuba, Iran’s endgame is maintain the status quo, with fantasies of forcing the establishment of a Palestinian state in Israel and kicking the U.S. out of the Middle East. Considering Iran can’t even govern itself properly, one has to wonder how they would accomplish this. Threatening the world with one crappy nuclear missile that may be a dud would not do the trick. However, since the United States has always had Iranian interests ($$$), look for the United States to push the United Nations (like it did with Iraq) to act, and when it fails (seemingly according to plan) the U.S. may consider military action to keep its military industrial complex profitable- which may start World War 6.
What is Canada’s Endgame? Canada perhaps has the most transparent motives of any nation: stay neutral, stay out of trouble, keep a low profile, keep an open mind with trading partners, encourage immigrants to populate, and harvest its own wealth of natural resources.
Coming Soon: World War 6 (World War Six, World War VI)?
