GMA Good Morning America Recap GoDaddy Coupons

GMA Good Morning America Recap GoDaddy Coupons Tony Vahl started the show saying that he’s been very active making videos, and he has not been neglecting his online DailySkew duties just because he doesn’t make a DailySkew podcast everyday. Vahl then announced that you can use his coupon code on here to go to www.GoDaddy.com to get 10$ off your order (also click on the previous link for a GoDaddy discount).

Vahl then went straight into a Good Morning America (GMA) rant based on their scrolling headline: ARE PEOPLE GETTING OVERMEDICATED? This was the bulk of today’s show. I recommend you listen to his thoughts on anti-depressants, and a Zimbio blogger.
He highlighted a one quick point about Google’s Nexus One vs iPhone (Apple). He discussed the conflict of interest of GMA, since Google is not a sponsor of Good Morning America.
Vahl discussed Yemen, and how the MEDIA has just discovered it. He did a Captain Kirk voice.
He also said that different special interest groups have made the word “BALANCED” as a negative buzz word. He said news MEDIA must be OBJECTIVE, and that the MEDIA should be not for profit and report news that is really important around the world.
Vahl pointed out that President George W. Bush was ripped for being proactive. [OPINION ALERT: We experienced this at Tashman Technologies as well. It seems like being proactive leaves people open to criticisms, second guessing, and law suits.]
Vahl doesn’t need global warming to care about the environment.
Vahl ripped Copenhagen to shreds.
Gotta say- Vahl’s voice is now officially MADE for radio. Much better than the Glenn Beck Schlock Show. The way he plugged the DailySkew websites and GoDaddy were A+.

Latest World News: Pakistan Suicide Bombing, Yemen, Chess Grandmaster

Latest World News- Good morning and HAPPY NEW YEAR, DailySkew readers. I hope you are so insipired to get back to work this morning and break all of your New Year’s Resolutions. This is Ozzy Mann reporting LIVE from the Internet for this morning’s Latest World News briefs (provided by the Ministry of Truth – MOT News).

  • The death count for the Volleyball Game Jan 1 Suicide bombing is at over 88 people and more than 100 others are injured in Pakistan. It looks like the Taliban were behind this attack, which is called the 2010 Lakki Marwat suicide bombing. The bomber drove a rigged vehicle right in the middle of a playground because the villagers had formed an anti-Taliban peace committee.
  • Yemen killed two al-Qaeda “militants” who have been threatening embassis in Yemen. Many embasses are now closed in Yemen. Yemen has been making headlines all week for cracking down on al-Qaeda.
  • Over 1,000 people have been evacuated after days of flooding in New South Wales, Australia.
  • Norwegian chess grandmaster Magnus Carlsen is now the youngest world number one in FIDE history at the age of 19. With a name like “Magnus” it’s no wonder he’s a grandmaster.
  • The Tower of Babel was built in Dubai. Burj Dubai is open for business today and is 2,684 feet high.
  • It’s cold and it’s snowing, folks. Imagine if there WAS no global warming! Ha!
  • Don’t panic, friends, but Newark Airport in New Jersey was locked down (actually only Terminal C, C as is craigslist) after a man breached security by walking on the wrong side of a security checkpoint. All flights were grounded. It is now opened and everyone was rescreened but the mystery man has not been found.
  • Recent mudslides in Brazil claimed the lives of at least 70 people.
  • 8,000 people have been evacuated in Columbia due to the erruption of the volcano Galeras.
  • Speaking of volcanoes, the legendary volcano in the Philippines- Mayon- will erupt any day now.
  • A magintude 6.5 earthquake hit the Solomon Islands, with aftershocks. If a tree falls down in the woods and no one is around to hear it- does it make a sound? You bet! Every action has repercussions- butterfly effect, baby!
  • Perhaps you’ve heard about the latest Somali pirate kidnappings since December 29. That’s right, two more ships were taken hostage by the pirates, and the world still allows small businesses and governments to pay ransoms to free these workers after months of captivity.
  • Speaking of Somalia, one report that received a lot of MEDIA attention was how an axe-weilding Somali man tried to assassinate cartoonist Kurt Westergaard. Westergaard is notorious for drawing Mohammed with a bomb. [OPINION ALERT] I’m not excusing this crazy Somali, but what did you expect, Kurt? Was that cartoon worth it?
  • The Avatar movie’s worldwide gross numbers are in: Avatar has made $1 billion dollars around the world so far, easily making a profit and then some.
OPINION ALERT: Please realize how BLESSED YOU are that you can be reading this. You didn’t get killed in an earthquake, volcano, mudslide, or terrorist attack. Think about that the next time you complain about your co-worker, neighbor, family member, or your finances.
Why pay over $90.00 a month for Cable or Satellite TV services? Watch Satellite TV online from your computer.

R.I.P.: Richard Hoffman drowning

DELAWARE- A Florida man drowned while swimming in Lake Wallenpaupack on September 27. A diver diver recovered Richard Hoffman, 65, while swimming near Seeley’s Landing. My e-mail box has been full with inquiries asking if this is Dr. Richard Hoffman, who is a psychologist and affiliate of the DailySkew.
As of publishing time, I have not been able to get hold of Dr. Hoffman in Florida to confirm if he did in fact drown in Lake Wallenpaupack.
One e-mail in particular showed no mercy due to Dr. Hoffman’s article on dry drowning:
RGomex:
“Hoffman was an alarmist and now karma has caught up with him. Due to his study on dry drowning, every soccer mom brought their snot-nosed kids to the hospital when their kids coughed in their kiddie pool in the backyard. Now Dr. Richard Hoffman himself has drowned. Oh, the horror, the horror.”

American soldier captured by the Taliban

By now you’ve heard about or seen the sick video of Idaho native Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl being held by the Taliban in Afghanistan. This soldier will be used and abused by the Taliban as an anti-U.S. propaganda tool. The Taliban want us to turn this into a political issue and divide America further. Unfortunately, given the U.S.’s reluctance to free hostages by using spies, satellites, and strike forces, I think we all know how the video will eventually end.

Anything else besides Michael Jackson coverage?

So everyone wants to see the Michael Jackson death photos. Is there anything more important than Michael Jackson autopsy results?

Remember the DailySkew’s MEDIA Scale of Importance and Media’s Attention of Types of Deaths? Obviously a unique global pop icon is at the top of the list.

This past week alone, we’ve had the Jon and Kate overrated drama, North Korean threats, Iran Election Coverage, an Obama press conference where he tried to answer his Republican critics, the Governor of South Carolina cheat on his wife with the mysterious Maria, Ed McMahon died, Farrah Fawcett died the same day that Michael Jackson died, the Global Warming Bill, and dangling storylines like the Bernard Madoff trial and the Gitmo prisoners.

But Michael reigned supreme.

It’s truly a news story that everyone can speak about and have an opinion about. It’s an easy sell.

How about some coverage about the Pirates of Aden still holding around 220 sailors for ransom? Or some Iraq War death tolls? The corrupt Myanmar government? A push to free Laura Ling and Euna Lee?

Yeah, too complicated, I know.

North Korea’s N-Bomb Test

Well, the big news from the right-wingers is that North Korea’s N-Bomb test was as powerful as the U.S.’s 1945 A-Bomb on Hiroshima. North Korea caused an earthquake with their underground test. Are they flexing their muscles, or will they nuke South Korea or Japan?

Unlike Cuba, North Korea has technology. Unlike Cuba, however, North Korea only has one trading partner: China. (Castro would have you believe Cubans live in poverty because of the U.S. boycott, but what he fails to mention is that every country in the world can visit and trade with Cuba.)

Sources say that the newly rejuvenated Kim Jong-il’s communist empire is behind an international heroin smuggling scheme, sex slavery, and arms dealing.

One reason why the Obama administration [the politically correct term to use instead of just "Obama"...meanwhile, everyone used to say "Bush" back in the day] is so lost in this situation is that they don’t want to hold China accountable. Let’s face it…North Korea is an isolated nation…other countries are dead afraid of dealing with Kim Jong-il…only rogue nations need apply…you have to be part of the Bad Boy Network, like Iran to become a partner. China is the only country that actually recognizes North Korea as legit.

The U.S. and anyone else can’t exert economic sanctions or pressure on North Korea because NK has a state-run nationalized economic system. However, nations can exert pressure on CHINA to speak with Kim Jong-il and tell him to quit threatening Japan with those atomic bombs.

China is the only country that can stop North Korea. China is reliant on the greedy capitalists and corporations of the world, so as long as we trade with China and buy their goods, we have some leverage over them when it comes to foreign policy (after all, why else won’t China “take back” Taiwan).

It’s time to put the ball in China’s court, and threaten China economically. Yeah, North Korea is probably bluffing…they could just be flexing their muscles again. But I say we can use this opportunity to lean on China. Yeah, yeah…I know…the world is in a recession and can’t be “wasting time and money” on this matter. Well, that will be an excuse for a long time, my friends.

For those of you who think Japan is overreacting, how would you feel if Castro made a few A-Bombs now and had them pointed to Miami?

This already happened in Civ IV.

Japan News and Trends

http://www.instablogsimages.com/images/2008/03/28/japan-economy-in-mini-recession_7548.jpg

Tired of American news “journalism”? Sick of left wing vs right wing spin? Frustrated of the entertainment “news” that we are bombarded with? Don’t care about American Idol?

Then welcome to DailySkew News World Brief. Today’s feature is Japan.

Culture:

  • Not as isolated as the MEDIA likes to report. On a Japanese subway, you can see a citizen reading an English newspaper.

Economy:

  • Highest welfare rate since 1965.

Crime:

  • A spike increase in senior citizens committing crimes, mostly shoplifting at convenience stores. Obviously related to the global financial crisis.
  • Organized crime has taken a hit, excuse the pun. Many gang members have been forced to cut spending and many are applying for welfare.
  • Smoking weed is not tolerated in Japan. If you are a national athlete, and you get caught, you are BANNED for life. However, some stories were picked up on the wire that show an underground trend (although only 3% of Japanese have tried to smoke it). 2,800+ people were arrested last year.
  • Few admit to file-sharing, but recent polls suggest it is widespread.

Politics:

  • Japan’s Prime Minister Taro Aso’s personal approval rating is 10-14 percent, which is….uhm…worse than George W Bush. Most of it economy-related, although his leadership is constantly attacked.
  • Although still a cult phenomena, the Japanese Communist Party is increasing membership, and is getting press, but the odds are that they will never have a say in mainstream politics.

Entertainment:

  • Baseball, wrestling, comic books (magna), cartoons (anime), video games, computers, electronic gadgets, etc are still popular
  • Sumo wrestling scandal: allegations of fixed sumo matches and marijuana use and hazing which lead to the death of a rookie made shocking headlines.
  • Japanese cat cafes: Drink your green tea and check out the shy chicks- while cats jump on your lap to be petted!
  • Although gambling is illegal, pachinko halls are not. Pachinko is a video pinball/slot machine hybrid. It’s an addiction. With the recession, more and more women are playing this game all the time. You can’t win money, but you do win “prizes”, which you take to the pawnshop across the street and “cash out”.

Diplomacy:

  • Russia and Japan may continue to dispute over group of islands between the Japanese island of Hokkaido and Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula. The Soviets claimed the land there during WWII, and kicked out many Japanese citizens, and took over their properties. With the potential for natural gas, and a matter of national pride, both countries may go head to head one day at the negotiation table.
  • North Korea- When will the threats end?

Religion:

  • Buddhist monks are trying new ways to spread the religion, including rapping and…uhm…marijuana.

With the newspaper industry RIGHTFULLY dying off (bunch of HACKS lead by an old editor-in-chief), be sure to check out GlobalPost.com (non-partisan) for world news by world correspondents with no spin.

Dems and MEDIA: Pirates are "an annoyance and a distraction"

Hey folks, Damian here once again to show you 1) how the MEDIA treats us like idiots and 2) how the MEDIA likes to think the world revolves around the US of A. This is not a rip on President Obama, so I don’t want to hear it.

Let’s take on Reuters, one of the largest and most respected news wire agencies on the planet:

“Ragtag teams of modern-day Blackbeards are posing an annoying distraction for Barack Obama, forcing him to add Somalia to an already long list of foreign policy challenges.”

I can imagine somebody in a backwoods town in Kentucky reading that and being surprised. I can imagine people in New York who are more focused on Chris Brown’s sentencing reading that and being surprised. I can imagine a teen in Florida who is more concerned about the next American Idol winner reading that and being surprised. For the rest of us, we already knew that piracy was alive and well, and actually never ended. For the rest of us, we already knew Somalia was an unresolved issue since the popular movie Blackhawk Down (or for those who are more aware, some of us actually remember President Clinton handling Somalia in real life).

But more importantly, to say that pirates are an “annoying distraction” for His Majesty is insulting. Why? Because these Africans are “ragtag”? A machine gun is a machine gun. A grenade launcher is a grenade launcher. Being held hostage is being held hostage. Kidnapping and holding hostages are big-time crimes. I don’t if the hostages aren’t killed. This has been an international injustice for a while now. North Korea fired a harmless missile over Japan again, with no chance of coming near Hawaii. Okay. Iran says they will have nukes soon. Okay. Pirates have been making millions of dollars off innocent seafarers for YEARS. An annoyance? I assure you, if YOU were being held by these guys, it is a no mere annoyance. If your company’s business is dependent on sailing near the Aden, you are going to be short on work, in a world recession.

To call these Somalian terrorists “modern-day Blackbeards” is laughable, and not accurate. “Blackbeard” is 2009 implies a romanticized version of the pirate of the high, rough seas. These Somalians are dark, gritty hoodlums with no bone of romanticism, treasure finding, or adventurism.

“American presidents are told to expect the unexpected, and Obama is seeing that this week. First it was a North Korean test of a ballistic missile last weekend. Now comes a swashbuckling high-seas standoff with armed renegades.”

Yup, this wasn’t expected at all. Why, because piracy only happens to “inferior” countries? It wasn’t our problem. Yeah, right. Come on….it was only a matter of time. The world was put on full alert not to go near the place. The Ukrainian ship and Russian and English navy incident was covered by every news outlet and news website. Everybody with a TV, radio, or Internet access in Asia has known about this for a long time, due to the repeated mistreatment of Filipinos by the Pirates of Aden. Everyone tells me we live in a small world now, with the Internet and satellite TV/radio, and we can communicate with people all across the world in an instant. Yet Reuters would have us believe that this was unexpected to His Majesty.

And once again, we have another “Pirates of the Caribbean” joke- “swashbuckling”, to try and lessen the threat of the pirates.

And again- a North Korean missile test (all bark, no bite) is a surprise? The North Korea incident was blown out of proportion by the right wing radio pariahs.

“Obama so far has sent U.S. Navy ships to protect an American-flagged freighter that managed to repel a pirate attack but whose captain was taken hostage.”

Like Obama had another choice other than sending U.S. Navy ships? Look, Obama was on his U.S. European apology tour, and he will get around to tackling this problem another day. I’m pretty sure the Navy didn’t need his express authorization or written/verbal permission to act. Or if they did, it was a mere formality. So let’s stop pretending “Obama so far has sent U.S. Navy ships…” to give us the impression he took initiative. You know his advisers and military leaders handled the operation.

“America’s recent experience with Somalia has not been good, making caution a key element of U.S. policy in dealing with the country.”

“Recent” here is back in the 1990’s according to Reuters. “America” means the US, and not Central or South America (I nitpick calling the U.S. “America” because Reuters is supposed to be an international news agency, and should know better.) As far as making “caution a key element in dealing with the country”, the better spin would be “The U.S. been ignoring this situation for so long, and now it has come back to haunt them.”

The Obama administration was careful not to give the crisis too much prominence, with delicate negotiations under way to try to secure the captain’s release.

He declined to comment on the pirate situation for the second day in a row on Thursday.

“We’re obviously paying careful attention to this issue. And I’m really not able to go beyond that at this point,” said State Department spokesman Robert Wood.

We’re negotiating with terrorists, aren’t we? We have satellites, GPS and advanced technologies, CIA undercover spies, the ability to pay off snitches or mercenaries, a whole lot of firepower, and most of the world on our side, since they were victims, too, and we’re going to do the LaME thing and pay off a terrorist. Okay…

“We don’t want to go back there,” said presidential historian Thomas Alan Schwartz, a professor at Vanderbilt University. “This may be one of those points where Obama is going to have to cash in some of his international chips and get the U.N. to go in there.”

“Somebody needs to go into Somalia and govern the place,” he said.

I had to scroll allll the way down to read what Schwartz said. Of course, it’s the truth.

Democratic strategist Doug Schoen, who worked in the Clinton White House, called the crisis “a real test of national resolve” that the Obama White House and opposition Republicans need to work together to deal with.

“It’s an annoyance and a distraction,” he said. “On the other hand, if we don’t take this seriously and we don’t stamp it out we will face what other countries are facing, which are repeated acts of piracy.”

The grim reality is finally here, even though Obama and Biden don’t want to talk about it, even though the Democrats in power would rather focus on other things. The Powers-that-Be, from Clinton to Bush, tried to ignore it, and the citizens, MEDIA, and politicians convinced themselves it would never happen to one of “their own” (never mind all humans have the same right to be free, regardless of the random chance of nationality).

Yes, I realize that DailySkew posters like Barry Allen and Stat Head can show me that it is more cost effective to pay off pirates than to to commit to any other military, CIA, or nation building action. But you have to understand- I value human life over money. If I was in charge, I would not be supporting 1984 police states like China or Cuba or Iran in any way, such as trade or aid. I would not enable human rights violations with inaction, like ignoring pirates ruling the Indian Ocean.

The talk of formulating a U.N. backed initiative is a scary proposition for the bigwigs in Washington. Somalia was the one nation that the U.S. leadership truly feared because public opinion never supported getting involved. I can understand people not wanting to be the World Police, but piracy is everyone’s problem. It cripples businesses and ruins lives.

Now the U.S. is involved. This is what I wanted. This is what needed to happen to put an end to the piracy. Let’s utilize our Navy and have them patrol more. Let’s team up with Germany, Italy, England, Philippines, Ukraine, Russia, Greece, Taiwan, and every other country that the pirates messed with. Let’s work on tracking the pirates down and freeing hostages. Let’s work on getting Somalia stable, and holding people accountable. Let’s stop the denial and arrogance that this is not a U.S. problem. And Reuters and the rest of the MEDIA outlets: let’s stop living in a fantasy world and pitching this as a NEWSFLASH and a minor annoyance that will somehow go away without REAL HARD WORK from world leaders and the United Nations.

What is the other option? Let it continue. Let the U.N. debate about it for years. Appease the punks with tens of millions of dollars who conquered the world with just 1992 rocket launchers, machine gus, and speedboats. You okay with that?

Chimpanzee collected rocks and threw them

STOCKHOLM- A 31-year-old alpha male chimpanzee named Santino had been collecting rocks and stones after the zoo closed. He was originally agitated when zoo visitors watched him in the mornings (Santino was known to be anti-social to begin with). Santino would gather stones and rocks from around the park, and stockpiled them. Little did they know that Santino had plans to use these rocks as weapons to attack onlookers. Santino used the stones as ammunition (missiles) and attacked onlookers, who were stunned at his plan.

Says Dr. Richard Hoffman:

“Forward planning like this implies a consciousness that is uniquely special. Many apes throw objects, but Santino has made caches of stones while he is fully calm and only throws them at a much later time.”

“It’s a shame the zookeepers had to castrate Santino…but now he’s calm; it was for his own good.”

The Time Traveller said, “The mutant gene had already spread by 2009. Santino became a martyr, and other chimpanzees received the spark to combat the oppression of their human enslavers. When the chimpanzees and Shark King teamed up, it was the beginning of the end for humanity. Obviously, the final nail in the coffin was when the insects rose from the earth…”

Johnnie Redding: Man Identified in Detroit Ice

The man in the ice in Detroit was not homeless or forgotten. But Johnnie Redding’s frozen shoes sticking out the ice in an abandoned warehouse has become an unfortunate symbol of urban life. The concrete jungle where it’s survival of the fittest- Detroit: an overburdened police force, a monstrous bureaucracy, rampant unemployment, growing crime rate, and where apathy reigns supreme.

Craigslist crimes

Reporting live in front of my monitor: Continuing the DailySkew’s public service announcement to STAY AWAY FROM CRAIGSLIST, here’s a brief list of some new craigslist crimes (everyone is innocent until proven guilty):

I’M NOT GAY: Edward Terry Wallace robbed, assaulted, threatened, and raped two transsexuals near San Diego. He has a girlfriend and one-year old child. Wallace was reading the craigslist t4m sex posts, and decided to meet them to steal their money…and other stuff.

DON’T BUY TICKETS: Anthony Vaughn Davis, Madge L. Hayes, Robert Patrick Conderato were busted for running a scan using a stolen credit card to buy several concert tickets, and sold them on craigslist in the Pittsburgh area. The people that bought the tickets from their craigslist ad were denied entrance and held at admission.
FATHER AND SON: Todd “Tutt” Carter, 38, and his son, Nicholas Harrison, 19 pimped out teenage girls across state lines. The son would “test” them out, and only give them just enough condoms to work, and treated them like slaves. All ads were on craigslist, of course.

SKEWED: Brad Self and Sean Boyle met a craigslist girl, robbed her of cash and drugs while they tied her up with duct tape. Then they posted about her on craigslist with a warning notice about her “lifestyle”. They referred to each other as “Mr. Black” and “Mr. White”, from the “Reservoir Dogs”. They were just trying to “save” her: “Our illegal actions were outweighed by her illegal actions”.

I DARE YOU: A man was driving a piece of construction lift equipment down a street at 3 a.m, driving at 2 mph. The man was in the lift bucket with an unopened six-pack of beer and a bag of beef jerky. First he told police he was just going to the store. But when they asked him why he was in the bucket on the lift, he said he was delivering the $20,000 piece of construction equipment on a dare from somebody he met on craigslist. The lift had been stolen from a construction site.

NEED A KIDNEY? William Miller posted: “Kidney’s yours. It’s As simple as that. Do it as soon as you want it done. $100,000″. U.S. federal law prohibits selling human organs and tissues.

DON’T BUY ANYTHING: Ray John Hollandsworth estimated he had been paid about $2,000 since for his part in an overpayment scheme to scam buyers on craigslist, being operated by an unidentified person in Nigeria, who was supplying him with counterfeit money orders and bogus business checks.

RESERVING A PLACE IN HELL: Jordan Arnold, Christopher Black, and Jessica King took pictures of kids in lingerie, posted them on craigslist, set up a sexual encounter, drove the kids to a prearranged place, forced them to have sex with strangers in hotels in California, and then took all of the money.

Detroit Hell- Dead body in ice

Tony Vahl and Damian Hospital coined a term called Lazy Man Ethics (LME). The news that a man has been frozen in Detroit, and no one called the police for a month, is an example of this. Even worse, when the police were finally called- they never came!

The man is encased in ice at Roosevelt Warehouse, near 14th Street and Michigan Avenue. The warehouse, used by Detroit’s school system, burned down in 1987 and thousands of books, scissors, footballs and crayons were left to rot while hundreds of Detroit schoolchildren went without school supplies.

Some rich guy bought it, and just let it continue to decay. There are holes, elevator shafts, and homeless people burning tires.

A bunch of guys were trespassing and were playing ice hockey. They saw the feet, but didn’t call the cops. A friend of one of the hockey players called the newspaper.

Here’s what some of the homeless people had to say: “Yeah, I seen him. I don’t recognize him from his shoes. I figured someone else called the police. There’s lots of people coming through here with cameras and cell phones. I don’t got no phone. I don’t got no quarter. Things is tight around here”

“Yeah, he’s been down there since last month at least. I thought it was a dummy myself. You got a couple bucks?”

The reporter had to call the police and 9-1-1 several times, and one call was even disconnected with no follow up. The police did nothing, and were rude. After 24 hours the Detroit Fire Department finally agreed to meet the reporter at the scene.

DoTR: Rush Limbaugh Jan 28

Thanks, Tony. This is Damian Hospital reporting LIVE from the Tashman news center. The following is my Rush Limbaugh report before he was TAKEN OFF THE AIR on my radio dial.

0) “I HAVE HIJACKED THE OBAMA HONEYMOON.”
1) Rush mocked Obama for hosting big wig CEO’s today for pretending to sound like President Reagan.
2) He played a previous Obama clip from 20 days ago, where Obama said it’s up to government to bail us out, to today’s clip where Obama said it was up to businesses to stimulate the economy. He said this was PROOF that there are multiple Obamas.
3) Don’t expect the MEDIA to analyze or critique this stimulus plan. “The MEDIA would never attack Him, with a capital “H”. It’s up to ME, and ME ALONE to do it.”
4) “Barack Obama is a liar.”
5) “There is a consensus to censor Rush Limbaugh. There is a consensus to shut me down. This was put into play by Obama, who called you- my loyal listeners- fringe kooks.”
6) DCCC is petitioning to stop Rush’s free speech. The DNC set up an online petition for us to spam Rush’s e-mail box. Rahm Emmanuel is on conference calls with George Stephanopoulos many times a day. They are trying to censor a private citizen (Rush).
7) Had computer errors, and technical difficulties, like Glenn Beck had earlier. [Is this part of the Death of Talk Radio conspiracy?]

MY RADIO OFFICIALLY LOST THE CONNECTION AT 1:26PM IT TOTALLY FRAZZLED OUT. IS THIS PART OF THE PLAN TO CENSOR RUSH? DID THEY FINALLY TAKE HIM OFF THE AIR?

Richard Paul Evans, Tania Zaetta, and Target layoffs

Hi everyone, Damian Hospital reporting LIVE from cyberspace. Here are today’s hot trends for Tuesday January 27, 2009, as typed by YOU, the Internet surfer and possible mutant:

richard paul evans: The author of Grace, “a novel of strong friendship, first love, strength and tragedy.”

tania zaetta: Wow, how did you guys spell that one right? I guess if there was a chance to see Tania Zaetta nude, you’d do it. Anyway, she was another “celebrity” I had never heard of. She was found not guilty of having sex with troops.

target layoffs: Yeah, I can imagine people wanting to reading about Target layoffs. You’re just gluttons for bad news. Okay, here’s the number: Target, like every corporation is looking to cut unnecessary jobs to please shareholders. This has happened since the beginning of capitalistic society.

california octuplets also known as 8 babies born at the same time: The babies, who weigh between 1.8 pounds and 3.4 pounds, were delivered by cesarean section. Welcome to the new economy, kids!

janet jackson wardrobe malfunction: This old Superbowl halftime show mishap is being brought to the Supreme Court to be overturned.

fort worth isd: “It was a packed boardroom at the Fort Worth ISD today as the forces of possible change are meeting resistance concerning Trimble Tech High School. For years open enrollment is what has set Tech apart, but is that giving the school and unfair advantage?” Uhmmmm…..okay.

Well, that’s all for now. Back to you, Tony.

Airplane crash (well, not really)

And we are LIVE on the scene in New York, as a flock of geese took down an airplane, which fell into the Hudson. Thankfully, everyone lived.

Not only was this “huge” news all day, there was constant live coverage on all the news channels.

Whatever.

Alabama NAACP protests Obama inauguration

Did somebody say Phil Hendrie? This REAL news story made me LAUGH OUT LOUD, especially when I heard the NAACP guy, who sounds like Phil’s preacher. The actual news reporter reminds me of an Onion character, too. I mean, what’s the implication: that Obama is racist against black people? The sad part is that this news story is TRUE!

Israel, Gaza, Obama, Hillary, Middle East rockets

Well, I guess it’s time for me to post about the latest Middle Eastern conflict. I was trying to hold off on it thinking it would go away in a couple of days, and since it was the New Year…but that was wishful thinking.

Here goes: The Hamas (a terrorist group that seized power in Palestine in recent times, worse than the Taliban) fired rockets at Israel after their 6-month cease fire ended. Israel has had enough, so they struck back severely, and has been invading the Gaza strip, with hopes to totally cripple the Hamas permanently. Unfortunately, civilians, children, and women are getting in the way. Hamas leader Nizar Rayyan has been killed, and Israeli forces continue the march.

The international community- even Russia- supported Israel’s actions. But now as it is apparent Israel is going for blood- news footage of dead Palestinian children, destroyed homes, and burnt mosques are making some people queasy.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has said “The international community cannot stand silent.”

So France responded as follows: “France condemns the Israeli ground offensive against Gaza as it condemns the continuation of rocket firing.”

Even England is saying enough is enough: “Unfolding events show the urgent need for the immediate ceasefire that we have called for. The escalation of the conflict will cause alarm and dismay.”

Obama is closely “monitoring” the situation, and is committed to peace in the region. Since the Hamas will certainly reorganize, this problem will not be going away anytime soon, especially since a Hamas member sent text messages indicating they have traps set for the Israelis and rockets will continue to be fired at any chance they get.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has always been pro-Israel, with no exceptions, while President Elect Obama is sympathetic to both sides. Obama’s advisers, especially, Rahm Israel Emanuel are 100% behind Israel. Jewish voters in the United States are one of the most powerful voices in America.

Where do I stand on all of this? Human nature says that if terrorists are bombing your towns, and kill your family or neighbors, you must strike back in full force, and take no prisoners. Unfortunately, by striking back like this, the cycle of violence will never end:
