Real Conspiracy Theories PART 1:
By Richard Allen Wright
GMO Global Conspiracy: Genetically modified organisms (GMO) and Monsanto [CENSORED]. Should companies be allowed to alter the genetic structure of the entire living kingdom in the name of profit? Should companies have the right to the monopoly over entire groups of organisms? Watch The Future of Food for a good starting point and do your own research (just be careful- this conspiracy is so deep that many so-called official studies are [CENSORED]).
Big Brother is Watching You: How ironic that Great Britain would be the trendsetter in CCTV cameras which spy upon its citizens in the same of “keeping the peace”. The UK, which had spawned such creative science fiction works of art from the likes of George Orwell, Patrick McGoohan, Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, and others who have warned about the invasion of privacy, is the global leader in spying (audio and visual). Heck, in some cases, the CCTV cameras actually talk to you in a polite English voice or a robocop voice. The joke? According to studies, crime rates haven’t decreased and the UK makes money off them by selling footage to news agencies. It’s very similar to the CCTV cameras installed in Florida roads- go through a red light and pay the ticket to generate revenue. But there is no proof of prevention. The BBC has reported that there are 4.2 million CCTV cameras in the UK, mostly run by private companies.
The Lack of privacy on the Internet: Bottom line- Facebook, Google, and other websites use your habits and data to sell you stuff. Your data is also sold to other companies, so they can sell you stuff. Law enforcement has the right to subpena your information from these sites. Your IP address was probably admitted as evidence when Google was brought to court a few years ago to defend YouTube copyright infringement. Every company has ‘rogue employees” who use data for selfish reasons.:
“We dismissed David Barksdale for breaking Google’s strict internal privacy policies. We carefully control the number of employees who have access to our systems, and we regularly upgrade our security controls–for example, we are significantly increasing the amount of time we spend auditing our logs to ensure those controls are effective. That said, a limited number of people will always need to access these systems if we are to operate them properly–which is why we take any breach so seriously.”
And that’s just private companies! The U.S. Patriot Act allows full surveillance of e-mail without a search warrant. We already know that the U.S. government is watching Twitter, YouTube comments, Facebook comments, and blogs, and jokes are being taken out of context.
Some Not-For-Profit Organizations Are Shills for Major Industries: The Center for Consumer Freedom opposes food-related attacks on our liberty. While left wing groups are concerned about childhood obesity and want to ban Happy Meals or ask the Girl Scouts to sell healthier snacks, The Center for Consumer Freedom says people should be able to eat what they want. But, if you’re like Lois Lane or Peter Parker, you can investigate the money trail. The Center for Consumer Freedom receives most of its funding from the restaurant and food industry, including Coca-Cola, Wendy’s, Outback Steakhouse, and Monsanto.
Think tanks are just as dangerous: they publish studies and reports that only support their worldview. They get published as news. From The Heritage Foundation to PETA, such organizations paint themselves as truth seekers and fact checkers, and true authorities. But you just have to dig deeper to see what’s really going on. Think tank “experts” are depicted as neutral sources without any ideological predispositions when, in fact, they represent a particular perspective (the epitome of bias and close-mindedness). And, yes, that includes the so-called intellectually superior folks at the Cato Institute, which earned $24 million a year to do research. Nice little business, huh?
Cell phones may cause cancer: The World Health Organization lists mobile phone use in the same “carcinogenic hazard” category as lead, engine exhaust and chloroform. A team of 31 scientists from 14 countries reviewed peer-reviewed studies on cell phone safety and found enough evidence to categorize personal exposure as “possibly carcinogenic to humans.” The American Cancer Society said there could be some risk associated with cancer, but it needs to be investigated further. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences also said it needs more research. However, the FDA and the FCC said THERE IS NO LINK TO CANCER AND CELL PHONE USE. Nothing to see here, folks, keep on using them! The cell phone cancer conspiracy will be just like the tobacco industry conspiracy that was proven true.
The government controls the media. The good folks in Washington, DC will send prepackaged news released to TV networks and newspapers to report as legit news, when, in fact, they are spun press releases. Here are two articles about this phenomena in NY Times and USA Today. Remember, folks, the media will always sell out to be granted ACCESS to stories, because ACCESS = SALES = MONEY. Here’s a great film about the way TV spins politicians.
Religions are money-making businesses which hide behind the right of freedom of religion and not-for-profit status: At the risk of offending 99% of you, Elijah Muhammad amassed $25 million, Jim and Tammy Faye Baker rolled in cash, L. Ron Hubbard used his sci-fi writing skills to found a religion, Joyce Meyer Ministries has a a $23,000 tax-exempt commode with a marble top*, well, the list can go on and on. But it’s about your happiness, right? So you pay for your eternal salvation. Do you think Jesus or Allah care if you make your weekly or monthly donations (more like social conditioned extortion). Payments to corrupt evangelists or churches have been going on since the beginning of organized religion (you can look it up). If you think the concept is no longer in practice…boy are you gullible. You may make fun of Tom Cruise for pumping millions in Scientology so he can advance in levels of enlightenment, but it’s just a fraction of his wealth. How about your monthly budget? And by the way, L. Ron Hubbard’s religion is just as valid as Judiasm, Christianity, and Islam: from the legal standpoint, logical arguments, social control, and money-making opportunities. There is a fine-line between religions and cults, and sometimes they are completely blurred. Moonies, anyone?
*The response: “While many have mistakenly associated this piece of furniture with a common household toilet, this particular term actually refers to the classic definition of commode identified by Webster’s Dictionary as, ‘a tall elegant chest of drawers.” The ministry said it was one piece of a 68-piece furniture purchase in 2001 for a total of $261,498, but the $23,000 figure was an “errant value assigned by the selling agent.”
The U.S. Census can be used against you: All I can say is that in the 1940s U.S. Census data was used by the government to relocate Japanese-Americans. It wasn’t just non-whites. Italian-Americans and German-Americans (now called White People in 2012) were internment camps (aka slave labor camps aka concentration camps) during this era. The Department of Homeland Security used the Census to gather information on Muslim or Arab-Americans after 9/11. (Homeland Security officials said the data were requested simply to help them decide at which airports they needed to post Arabic language signs.)

Skew.DailySkew.com is a parody. There is nothing serious to be found on this website. It’s all speculations and mindless blabbery. But if that is true, is this also fictional? Long live Loki!
