Why is juice so expensive? This year when I walk down the aisles of Publix in Broward County, Florida most juices are $3.99. Throw in sales tax and the gas it takes to drive there, and it’s obviously over $4 to buy juice (cranberry juice, grapefruit juice, lemonade, apple juice, pomegranate juice, grape juice, blueberry juice, etc.) I’m not talking about the organic section or even the refrigerated section with orange juice or those specialty kiwi acai scams- I’m referring to Aisle 2, folks- for the general public and masses of humanity.
I figured the generic brands (same crap) would be cheaper, but I didn’t see any that were. It’s possible Walmart sells the same stuff for $3.79- I wouldn’t know, but either way is uncalled for. The absolute worse drinks- pure sugar Kool-Aid for kids, was below $3.99.
I would go to the 99 cent dollar store, but the expiration dates are all messed up and the stuff is shipped from China, so it probably has dog food poison in it.
Guess I’ll stick to drinking tap water.
