What is ECB? ECB is the European Central Bank. (Those who follow Google Trends- gotcha!) Anyway, I’m back on 1st shift. Today was my first day back. I actually worked Friday-Sunday after Thanksgiving to. It’s the sacrifice one makes for owning a small business. I’m trying to get my rhythm back and make the time adjustment transition. It seems like I actually will have less time to blog and Tweet now (I’m not quite sure yet), but at least I will have the weekends to get some personal blogging and work on some SEO techniques for the DailySkew.
On the plus side, I will once again rejoin society and the busy traffic of the daytime, as opposed to working by myself, and driving alone on highways at 2:00AM.
Anyway, my two focus websites, Skew.DailySkew.Com and Baseball.DailySkew.com are doing extremely well in terms of traffic. I have around 2-3 other hobby sites that I routinely neglect and need to at least schedule out some posts for them in WordPress to keep them updated.
However, I also risk Internet burnout because some days at work, I totally focus on the SEO of my small business (currently 12 websites) and websites of another small business owner that works with me every day (he has too many sites to even count). Thus is the struggle to put food on the table. So many people I know down here in Florida has around zero dollars in checking. 2009 sucked and so did 2010.
I have to laugh when right wing talk show hosts defend households making over $250,000. Trust me, I would not be complaining about anything if I had that money. Frankly, a household should function without complaints if a husband and wife are pulling in $50,000 each. Sorry, but that’s how I feel. Manage your overhead and live within your means. Don’t complain about taxes after you have 4 kids and want to send each of them to college, or if you bought a home for $700,000 and have 3 expensive cars.
Tonight was good in that I came home, exercised for 30 minutes, ate a homecooked meal from my wife, played with my dog, took a shower, and wrote 4 posts right here on the Skew. I hope to go to sleep by 11PM, as I wake up at 7AM.
