Sometimes I read questions and concerns from wanna-be internet markers about how many times bloggers are allowed to make daily posts without getting into trouble with Google or their web-hosting companies. Huh? Talk about being so afraid and paranoid. What- is Google going to shut slap you for making 10 posts a day? There is another concern to- and that is the more content you post every day gets the attention of various search engine spiders, which take up bandwith, and will allegedly slow down your website and draw the attention to your webhosting company or even your big bad ISP.
Although excessive pinging isn’t something you want to do with WordPress, there are various plugins you can use to make blogging more efficient. However, I have never heard of this issue with Google’s Blogger platform. Wanna make 200 posts a day? Go ahead. Think about the high traffic message board forums that get pelted with hundreds of comments. Think of a microblog site like Twitter. Think about all the links uploaded to Digg. All of that stuff gets the attention of spiders.
The only time you could POSSIBLY screw yourself is by running a poorly designed aut0blog. Google will probably see you as a spam zombie, and PERHAPS your webshosting company like GoDaddy will turn it off. But when it comes to writing 10, 20 + articles a day- go for it- freedom of speech. It’s time to hold webhosting companies accountable with their shady marketing promises of “unlimited hosting” anyway.
