R.I.P.: Richard Hoffman drowning
DELAWARE- A Florida man drowned while swimming in Lake Wallenpaupack on September 27. A diver diver recovered Richard Hoffman, 65, while swimming near Seeley’s Landing. My e-mail box has been full with inquiries asking if this is Dr. Richard Hoffman, who is a psychologist and affiliate of the DailySkew.
As of publishing time, I have not been able to get hold of Dr. Hoffman in Florida to confirm if he did in fact drown in Lake Wallenpaupack.
One e-mail in particular showed no mercy due to Dr. Hoffman’s article on dry drowning:

“Hoffman was an alarmist and now karma has caught up with him. Due to his study on dry drowning, every soccer mom brought their snot-nosed kids to the hospital when their kids coughed in their kiddie pool in the backyard. Now Dr. Richard Hoffman himself has drowned. Oh, the horror, the horror.”
