Anything else besides Michael Jackson coverage?

So everyone wants to see the Michael Jackson death photos. Is there anything more important than Michael Jackson autopsy results?

Remember the DailySkew’s MEDIA Scale of Importance and Media’s Attention of Types of Deaths? Obviously a unique global pop icon is at the top of the list.

This past week alone, we’ve had the Jon and Kate overrated drama, North Korean threats, Iran Election Coverage, an Obama press conference where he tried to answer his Republican critics, the Governor of South Carolina cheat on his wife with the mysterious Maria, Ed McMahon died, Farrah Fawcett died the same day that Michael Jackson died, the Global Warming Bill, and dangling storylines like the Bernard Madoff trial and the Gitmo prisoners.

But Michael reigned supreme.

It’s truly a news story that everyone can speak about and have an opinion about. It’s an easy sell.

How about some coverage about the Pirates of Aden still holding around 220 sailors for ransom? Or some Iraq War death tolls? The corrupt Myanmar government? A push to free Laura Ling and Euna Lee?

Yeah, too complicated, I know.

Have you seen or heard about the Amazon top 10 CD's? It's all Michael Jackson!

    1. Thriller
    2. Off the Wall
    3. Bad
    4. Michael Jackson: The Ultimate Collection
    5. Number Ones
    6. Dangerous
    7. The Essential Michael Jackson
    8. Jackson 5: The Ultimate Collection
    9. Michael Jackson – Vol. 1 – Greatest Hist History
    10. Invincible

I kept wondering if he'd have one more huge comeback — it turns out his death has inspired interest in his music. A fitting tribute.

Considering he used to sing about how "We are the world" and "Heal the world", I'm sure his message of making the planet a better place will permeate through the thick skulls of the Aden Pirates and Kim Jong Ill. I'm sure the Supreme Leader of Iran is doing the Moonwalk right now, as we speak. There will be one less suicide bomber today in Iraq or Israel, as he chooses Bad over bombs, Thriller over being a killer.

Music will save the world! Earth-Jackson! Feel the vibe!

This time around I realized that the raccoon was free from suffering now. It's a shame its life had to end like that- it was blameless; humans built roads in the middle of his ancestor's forest. Progress and technology broke that raccoon's legs and took his life tonight. But now the suffering has ended for it. I mourned the raccoon and the way […]
