Sexy Career: IT department?

MSN had this headline article I felt compelled to click on:

10 Sexy Careers You Never Thought Of

And it had this to say about the IT Department:

Although IT workers have earned a bad reputation for not understanding the plight of the computer-illiterate worker, they aren’t the office villains some people have made them out to be. And if power is sexy, then these men and women probably outrank everyone. Whether you’re low on the totem pole or an executive, if you can’t open your e-mail account or figure out why your monitor is flickering, you call IT. In many offices, IT workers have the most lax dress code of all the departments, so you can’t help but envy them.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!

Although I shudder to generalize, I actually have many points of references from other workplaces other than my own, where I can assure you, honey, IT is NOT sexy. And I DON’T envy them, although I do respect their high IQ they tell me about all the time.

I’m sure there are good ones out their that break the stereotype, but…I’m just saying, the word “sexy” is not even on the list. IT is known for their brains, not their sex appeal. “Sexy” should be reserved for other professions.

Note to you about the top picture:

on my way home from the unemployment office yesterday I saw a small privately owned computer repair shop.

I went in and told the guy that I was looking for a job and was A+ and Net+ certified and that if he ever needed any help to give me a call because i am looking for a job.

It looked almost just like this guy in the picture.
    No Joke.

except the guy I talked to had clothes on.

where did you get this picture?

I really think it might be the same guy.

It is the same guy. I’ll try to put in a good word for you, but he;s a bit snobby, and doesn’t recognize A+ certifications.

    THANKS.

I should have known with the way the guy is on his floor working on computers in his underwear, as i have often done in my house.

You could at least tell him that Im prompt, honest and easy to get along with.

I owe you one, or two,I dont know, Ive lost track by now.

When I was 6 years old, my dad pulled up this blog and walked away from his Blackberry for two seconds while it loaded. I happened to be standing nearby, picked up the phone, and saw that guy who likes a giant baby working on a computer.

I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed. Couldn’t stop.

If my life were a comic book, you could say this was a life-changing moment. My dad snatched the phone away and kept my sister from being scarred for life, but it was too late for me.

Just thought I’d drop this calling card in the past, as a hint of what is to come … let’s just say I’m still laughing!

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaa….

What can you tell us about life in 2029 Bubba?

  6. Bubba 2029 says:

    The Joker lives!

The heroes that are left make their stand here, at what has become of the dailyskew.

Superman is dead, and Allah is good.

The feet of clay obsession from decade zero is officially over.

    I am my father’s son.

This time around I realized that the raccoon was free from suffering now. It's a shame its life had to end like that- it was blameless; humans built roads in the middle of his ancestor's forest. Progress and technology broke that raccoon's legs and took his life tonight. But now the suffering has ended for it. I mourned the raccoon and the way […]
