Rob Nabors, economy and perspective
We worry about the stock market, we bought multiple housing properties, new cars, the latest technologies, and frankly wasted money and credit on things.
The politicians don’t like to place any blame on us, since we are “the victims” of a poorly regulated system and greed.
But we should share the blame.
Each and every one of us are blessed to be living in the United States of America. It’s no accident that we are here…I don’t believe in coincidences. If you visited a country in Africa or South America or Asia, and complained about not being able to take your usual three annual vacations, you’d get robbed and shot.
Every generation of Americans had classes that struggled to make end’s meat. We are nowhere NEAR the Great Depression, no matter what talk radio sells every day.
There’s an old Buddhist story about a farmer complaining to Buddha about losing all of his cows, and how will not be able to meet his quotas, and all the money he’s going to lose. Buddha doesn’t see the problem- because now there’s less things to worry about. Get back to the basics, people.

Just for the record, I’m waiting for the axe to fall, and will accept whatever happens. I will not give up, and I will be the best Taco Bell burrito-maker ever!!
Told ya.

I didn’t know Foreigner’s lead singer agreed with me about America being in a psychological recession. I agree with Rob Nabors.
Liberal Americans are snobs, and Obama is their leader.
i am not a snob.
i did not buy multiple housing properties.
i did not buy a new car.
i “wasted” no money.
every dollar I spent was for something I needed.
The politicians better not place any blame on me, I did nothing to cause this and feel no guilt.
your post is true, i would still rather live here than in most 3rd world countries where people starve to death, but admittedly things could be a lot better too.
we are not as bad off as where people were during the great depression, where people staved to death, true enough.
but thats no excuse for all these bailouts of people who are doing WAY better than me or anybody I know.
so wheres my bailout then?
a few grand would pay off all my debt, so i think uncle sam aught to fork it over to me and everybody else while these checks are being written to the millionaires and ceo’s.
fair is fair.
I cant get by on less, maybe im just too “lazy” to survive in the real world just like most people.
the world we live in is one stupid place where people who screw everything up get free money to bail them out and the rest of us are told we are on our own.
I dont know who this “rob nabors” is, but if he says americans are snobs then he doesnt know me or anybody i know.
who is “rob nabors”?
Phil graham says its all in our head and that there is no recession because he is one of those guys getting free money for doing nothing just like the rest of these clowns that run our world.
whatever.
Thanks for the insight, R.A.W.
Rob is the new Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and was a “hot keyword” yesterday.
Anyway, you are one of the few people who live basic, and do not waste money on your new yacht. You’re not the problem.
I agree with you on Phil Graham.
One of my points is…so what if the stock market keeps going down as long as everything else deflates with it. It’s all a MEDIA and politician-induced panic, and I think we as American are better off appreciating life without the snobby luxuries that we pretend we can afford.
I’m not denying the recession, by the way. I just want an adjustment and a way to fix unemployment.
I agree with Damian Hospital. Americans are snobs. We’re obviously in a psychological recession.
Well maybe you are…but I know that I am too good to be a snob. Gosh I can’t believe I talk to people like you on blogs like this.
