McCain’s left eye, Thiago da Silva, and Can I vote?

Wanna know REAL news that matters?

The US Navy is now involved in fighting Somalian pirates that are holding my wife’s brother-in-law, Jolan Besana.

Jolan, along with around 100 other sailors from the Philippines, Hong Kong, Korea, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, and other countries are being held for ransom by barbarians.

Without a true government (remember Americans protested our involvement in Somalia, and we had to bail out- see the movie Blackhawk Down) it continues to be a warzone in Somalia. Different warlords have taken over sections in the cities, and piracy has been the easiest way for these losers to make money.

It is the most unstable and dangerous “nation” on earth. All world powers need to intervene.

  1. Vahl says:

The international community needs to apply the Bush Doctrine to Somalia NOW.

The Somalian pirates are laughing at us … the powers-that-be need to wipe those smiles off their faces.

The international community, compared to the pirates, wield the power of GOD. A bazooka can’t compete with the military might of NATO.

The U.N. needs to go in there and give those pirates the Old Testament treatment for their actions.

  2. dt says:

Bush doctrine cannot be applied in Somalia because there is no money to be made by stea…uh…err…helping dig for oil there.

  3. r.a.w. says:

I heard these pirates attacked a U.S. vessel,
    is that true?
if so these guys are real idiots.
I must admit, Im glad the U.S. is involved now.
This might help everything for those people who are being held hostage.
but using the military to carpetbomb that country would be stupid, and It probably wouldnt solve anything.

  4. dami says:

    DT,

It depends what the Bush Doctrine means to you..:-)

I don’t think Bush himself knows what it means. But I believe Vahl was applying it to the U.S. taking initiative…

    RAW,

Yes, they did fire upon the U.S. These pirates are the hoodlums of the world.

This time around I realized that the raccoon was free from suffering now. It's a shame its life had to end like that- it was blameless; humans built roads in the middle of his ancestor's forest. Progress and technology broke that raccoon's legs and took his life tonight. But now the suffering has ended for it. I mourned the raccoon and the way […]
