Suzanne Pleshette has died
Best known for her role as Newhart’s wife in the 1970′s “The Bob Newhart Show”, Suzanne Pleshette died after a long battle with lung cancer. She was 70.
In the 1980′s she was on the equally funny “Newhart” sitcom, but another actress played Newhart’s wife. I remember how much my mother enjoyed the last episode, when Bob Newhart turned on the light in his bedroom to see Suzanne Pleshette, who told him his memories of the entire series was a bad dream!
This was a funny retcon, a spoof on Dallas’ Bobby Ewing dream retcon.
One of the most memorable movies she was in was Alfred Hitchock’s scary movie The Birds, as she played the school teacher.
