  • Comment on The REAL Benefits of Marijuana Use by Morgana DeChaine July 29, 2010
Not a problem son. It just irks me when people talk about marijuana usage from a general standpoint. I'll go ahead and say that I smoke cannabis on average of 2 to three times a week. Usually after work to decompress while checking out my business on the internet. During the day I am a RN at a local hospital. Now you want to talk about drug use there. I […]

Germany looks to ban Scientology

Is Scientology a cult?

Germany’s federal and state interior ministers have declared the Church of Scientology unconstitutional because it is a cult, a business- not a religion, and exploits followers.

In other news, there is work on Monday, we have to go food shopping next weekend, our teeth will be brushed in the morning, and we will be putting our car keys in the ignition before we drive.

For those who don’t get my sarcasm: Germany is CORRECT. I know for a fact that Germany is going to take a MAJOR PUBLIC RELATIONS hit for this, and other democracies will criticize Germany for acting this way. Even U.S. citizens will run to protect Scientologists, so that they can have the freedom to “practice”. I just hope Germany sticks to its guns (pardon the pun) and stamps out this scam and fraud.

Damn, that’s a scary picture. (I’m talking about Tom Cruise.)

  • stats-head says:

I dated a girl that was a scientologist. She was a little weird. She eventually tried to recruit me, but it was illogical, so I passed up. Too bad, because she was hot.

Anyway, the Germans are acting like Nazis here. This would never happen in the US.

  • DamianHospital says:

Yes, they are Nazis for trying to prevent Nazism from spreading again. Spoken like a true ignorant American, who has no sense of history or acceptance of other cultures, Stats-head.

  • arnold says:

Let me tell you something, that picture of Tom Cruise PROVES Scientology is a cult!

  • marissa says:

Scientology is the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, others and all of life. The religion comprises a body of knowledge extending from certain fundamental truths.

In Scientology no one is asked to accept anything as belief or on faith. That which is true for you is what you have observed to be true. An individual discovers for himself that Scientology works by personally applying its principles and observing or experiencing results.

Through Scientology, people all over the world are achieving the long-sought goal of true spiritual release and freedom.

Germany is setting back their culture and so-called democracy back 60 years. The United Nations should intervene. This is religious persecution at it’s highest.

Nonpolitical in nature, Scientology welcomes any individual of any creed, race or nation.

We seek no revolution. We seek only evolution to higher states of being for the individual and for society. We are achieving our aims.

Germany is back being a facist state. I implore all of you to go to scientology.org for the Truth.

I still can’t believe that pic.

  • marissa says:

In any democracy, people should have the right to practice any religion they want. Scientology IS A RELIGION. It works! If everyone practiced it, there would be no war or insanity. Scientology is the KEY to ENLIGHTENMENT.

  • Anonymous says:

Scientology is not a dogmatic religion in which one is asked to believe anything on faith. An individual discovers for himself that Scientology works by applying its principles and observing or experiencing the results.

The ultimate goal of Scientology is true spiritual enlightenment and freedom for the individual.

  • DamianHospital says:

Marissa, please stop double-posting..I can see your IP address loud and clear. We get the point, okay? You’re a freakin’ cultist.

    Scientology Results Speak for Themselves:

“I have been involved in the Scientology religion for 25 years and it has helped me tremendously in understanding my own true nature and thereby improving my life.

“What I learned in Scientology has helped me in every area of living. I have had a wonderful 22-year relationship with my husband and we work as a team. I have two great kids of whom I am very proud. They are happy, responsible and able to grow up drug-free as a result of their own moral code. They respect others and communicate well. All of these things I have in my life as a result of Scientology. It gave me the tools, and then I applied them to my life to change conditions.

“Now when I meet new people each day, I see how rough life can be for them and how it so adversely affects them. I know I have a spiritual technology that can truly help them, and I do help them. Scientology has given me the viewpoint that it is my responsibility to do so.” – D.G.

“Before I discovered the technology of L. Ron Hubbard, I had been married three times. With all my marriages ending in divorce, I was desperate to find out what it would take to make one work.

“In Scientology, I learned what was behind my failures and how I had erred in choosing a mate. I learned about the basic principles of life and discovered I was able to repair the damage I had done. Soon afterwards I met and married a wonderful man. We recently celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary and together are very involved in the lives of our 10 grandchildren!

“Had it not been for achieving a whole new level of spiritual awareness through Scientology, I am certain I would have either continued my hopeless pattern of marriage and divorce or chosen to live alone and be deprived of the companionship and love of a very special man. Instead, I have a very fulfilling marriage and have been able to build lasting family relationships. This is truly wonderful.”

    Marissa,

Dailyskew blogs is not a democracy; it’s a benevolent dictatorship. Stop spamming- or else.

  • professor gibbons says:

Wow, we’re not pulling punches here, are we, Damian?

Wow, I don’t know what to say…regardless if you subscribe to a religion’s (YES, it IS a religion)beliefs, you must be joking about BANNING it!

What you probably don’t realize is that after the Jews, Hitler was going to exterminate the Christians. Once you start banning one religion, a domino affect will transpire.

Germany is wrong in this case, and the international community will hold them accountable.

  • marissa says:

History is repeating itself, and people are defending Germany’s actions.

  • Anonymous says:

If Jesus lived today, he’d still be crucified.

  • DamianHospital says:

And you have been banned, Marissa. Go spam somewhere else.

  • DamianHospital says:

Professor Gibbons, we’ll just have to agree to disagree on this matter. Germany is a sovereign nation. Their intelligence network has evidence that Scientology has been scamming people out of money. I assure you Germany will not be banning any of the world religions of their various sects.

  • R.A.W. says:

Why be so worried about scientology when weve got all those televangelist kooks on tv ?
They promise to cure the diseases of the viewers if they put their hands on the tv screen, babble and speak in tounges and ask for money all the time while warning viewers of the impending “end times”.
(better send that money in before its too late!)
Who can worry about scientology when weve got all those evangelical nuts running around out there ?
If anybody should be banned, arrested or thrown into a nuthouse its those people.
Im not worried about the scientologits.

  • rafael says:

I’m still waiting for the day that all the Scientology Kooks get the message from Hubbard that he’s coming back and its time to drink the Red Kool-Aid! Oh, what a glorious day!

He’ll go down in the hall of fame will Applegate, Jim Jones, Koresh, Hitler, Castro, maybe Chavez…

  • DamianHospital says:

R.A.W., I agree that televangelists are just as bad, if not worse.
