Christmas Vacation
65.2 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home during the Christmas-New Year’s holiday period

Well, folks, this is the time of the year that everyone has been waiting for- the big Christmas weekend, Christmas Eve on a Monday, and Christmas on Tuesday. This is something that everyone has looked forward to. All year, you may say “Just a few more months until Christmas” or “I’ll get that for Christmas” or “Can’t wait for Christmas break”. For most of us, it’s at least 4 days off. Students have time off as well.
Some of us plan vacations, others spend more money, have grand feasts, travel to the Colorado Rockies- what you do is based on your lifestyle and goals.
So…is it worth all of the hype?
I mean, this is it, right? All year you plan for this.
So… is it THAT much any different than Thanksgiving break or if you take an extra day off around Memorial Day?
I hope everyone realizes that the “Christmas spirit” is another MEDIA driven theme. I hope everyone realizes that it’s all about economics.
- You should love your fellow human beings every day of the year.
- You should give your kids gifts for any occasion.
- You should preach and show loving kindness all the time.
- When people show “the Christmas Spirit” for one day, it reminds me of Congress after 9-11, when they weren’t divided into left vs. right or Republican vs Democrats.
My message, for everyone who is offended, is to be nice 365 days a year.
